Skeletal remains of a newborn baby were found buried in the yard of a home in Watervliet on Friday.
Watervliet Police Chief Joseph L. Centanni has stated that maltreatment against children cannot be tolerated and police will be working tirelessly to get to the bottom of what happened and provide justice.
The current residents of the home are not suspects and police have not released any information on how long the child was buried or how the infant died.
