A solid chunk of funding is coming to the Waterloo Library and Historical Society by route of Albany, thanks to the efforts of Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan (R,C -Manchester).
The funding will be used to update Fatzinger Hall with new seating. This updated seating will preserve a historic look to maintain the history of the building, while creating a more spacious and comfortable community venue.
“Built over 100 years ago in the 1880s, the Waterloo Library & Historical Society building is historic on its own. I am proud to announce the funding of this much needed project in Fatzinger Hall,” said Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan. “After a year of social distancing, this project will bring the community together once again, hosting theatrical productions, readings, movie nights and other programs. Thank you to Executive Director Cyndi Park-Sheils, the board of directors and everyone who has been working so hard on the library’s capital campaign for your dedication to Waterloo,” said Gallahan
“We are excited for all the events and programs that will be able to be enjoyed with the new seating. Assemblyman Gallahan’s generosity and support will give us the opportunity to revitalize Fatzinger Hall so it can be enjoyed by our community for the next 100 years or more,” added Executive Director Cyndi Park-Sheils of the Waterloo Library & Historical Society.
