Police say a Watkins Glen man was taken into custody after a reported altercation at the Dunkin parking lot.
Upon arrival the Watkins Glen Police Department reported observing a male laying on the ground with a woman on top of him.
The man was identified as 29-year-old Shane Woodard, of Watkins Glen. After investigation it was determined that Woodard followed a male and female victim into the parking lot of Dunkin- and approached them inside the store.
The male victim was attacked- being struck several times in the face. The fight between the two men was broken up by the woman, who was protected from Woodard via court order.
As result of the incident, Woodard was charged with criminal contempt, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, harassment, and disorderly conduct.
The charges will be answered in local court at a later date.
