After Monday’s beautiful Memorial Day, Keuka Lake Watercraft Stewards are back for another season of boaters on the lake.
Arlene Wilson, Executive Director of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Yates County announces there are three stewards for Keuka Lake this year to help provide education and information surrounding boating on the lake.
Wilson said boaters and fisherman are very receptive when it comes to information regarding the lake and are familiar with stewards and the role they play in protecting the lake.
The stewards help to protect the lake from potentially harmful invasive species and the damage they could have on aquatic ecosystems and recreational water use.
