featuring a “New York Summer” exhibit this year, featuring the work of painter Catherine O’Neill, a resident of Hamburg, and Dennis Revitzky, a painter and printmaker from Honeoye Falls, according to an article published by the Finger Lakes Times. The exhibit will also feature work by many of the center’s regularly exhibited artists.
O’Neill’s work has been chosen for exhibits by the American and National Watercolor societies, along with the Adirondacks National Exhibitions of American Watercolors which is half annually at the View Arts Center in Old Forge.
O’Neill earned one of the center’s artist-in-residence spots last summer and was able to spend over a week painting at Sunny Point.
Revitzky, originally from Pennsylvania, did graduate work in fine arts at the College at Brockport along with teaching art in Livonia for 33 years. He has been showing and selling his own work for almost 40 years as well as being included in over 150 regional and national shows.
The “New York Summer” exhibit opened on May 24 and will be available until June 26. Hours are 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and 9:30 until 4:30 on Saturdays. Admission is free and more information can be found by contacting the Arts Center of Yates County at (315) 536-8226.
