Mets’ J.D. Davis to resume rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Syracuse

Mets third baseman J.D. Davis is scheduled to resume his rehab assignment at Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.

This is another bit of positive news on the Mets’ recovery front, along with Pete Alonso, Seth Lugo, and perhaps Kevin Pillar expected back today.

Davis, who had to cut short his initial stint in Syracuse because of lingering issues with his left hand, started swinging a bat again on Sunday. Davis said last week that the hand was improving, and manager Luis Rojas indicated the same on Sunday.
