The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of two local residents following an investigation into the distribution of controlled substances in the area.
Samuel Eckert, 32, of Waterloo, and Erica Campbell, 22, of Auburn were both arrested after a search warrant was executed at 941 Waterloo-Geneva Rd. A traffic stop was also executed in the town of Seneca Falls as part of that investigation.
Eckert is accused of possessing a sawed off shotgun and rifle with the intent to use those weapons against another person. He was also found to be in possession of crack cocaine.
Deputies said Campbell also possessed crack cocaine and another powdery substance that imitated a controlled substance.
Eckert was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon as a felony and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Campbell was charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession with the intent to sell an imitation controlled substance.
Both were committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility pending additional court action.
