Deputies: Minor sent to hospital, Rochester driver ticketed after crash on Rt. 14 in Phelps

Sheriff’s deputies in Ontario County, as well as Phelps Ambulance, and the Oaks Corners Fire Department responded to a two-car crash that happened on Rt. 14 in the town of Phelps.

Evan Schiller, 67, of Rochester was traveling on Rt. 14 when he struck the rear of a vehicle operated by Kalie Frisinger, 32, of Clyde.

Both parties were traveling south on Rt. 14- and Frisinger had stopped to allow oncoming traffic to pass before making a left-turn into a driveway.

One juvenile passenger in Schiller’s vehicle was transported by ambulance to Geneva General Hospital for evaluation.

Schiller was cited for following too closely, according to deputies.
