Deputies say a father in Wayne County faces a child endangerment charge after authorities were called to a local hospital.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports that Zachary Monachino, 27, of Palmyra was arrested after deputies responded to Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua following a call about a young child who was hurt at home.
Deputies spoke with the mother of the 8-month-old victim, who said that Monachino threw the child forcefully onto the couch the day before.
Additional information about the condition of the child was not released.
However, Monachino was charged with endangering the welfare of a child- and will appear in Palmyra Town Court at a later date.
