Town officials in Geneva want to see a stretch of Carter Rd. slowed down.
The Geneva Town Board approved a resolution asking the state DOT to reduce the speed limit from 40 mph to 30 mph.
The change would take place between Angelo St. and Gambee Rd.
Students that live in the area have to walk on the shoulder of the road, which prompted the move. The high and middle schools are nearby, too, adding to congestion and safety concerns.
