Deputies: Newark man faces DWAI charge after car observed partly on sidewalk

Deputies report the arrest of a Newark man following an investigation into a vehicle that was on the sidewalk along Peirson Ave. in the village.

Michael Todd, 37, of Newark was taken into custody after an investigation by patrol, who was dispatched following the report of a vehicle halfway on the sidewalk.

It was determined that Todd had alcoholic drinks prior to driving, according to deputies, who administered a series of standardized sobriety tests.

Todd was charged with driving while ability impaired after being found with a BAC of 0.07%. He was also charged with not having an updated inspection sticker.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
