The owner of the Big M in Ovid is out- after initially being considered for a vacancy on the Seneca County IDA board.
She withdrew last week- citing concerns about being able to balance her schedule and responsibilities at the store, as well as that on the Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
Sue Cirencione was set to fill the seat left by Valerie Bassett, who resigned earlier this year.
The subject is expected to be debated next week at the County’s board of supervisors meeting. Several members of the Board of Supervisors, who must appoint an individual, have said that they would like to see a woman from the south end of the county fulfill the seat on the 9-member board.
