Repairs at Great Sodus Harbor will be resuming soon, according to reps from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Work is set to resume in early-April with a tentative completion date of May 15.
A $3.86 million contract is in play, which covers repairs to 525 feet of retaining wall, and will protect the shoreline east of the break wall.
It’s all critical to ensuring that erosion is not extensive in the event of high water levels or flooding.
Altogether there was $4.5 million in federal funding earmarked for this project last year.
