Yankees catcher Robinson Chirinos will have surgery Tuesday to repair his fractured right wrist, manager Aaron Boone said on Monday.
Boone said that he expects Chirinos to be out “somewhere in the 4-6 weeks” timeframe, though he expects to know more following the surgery.
Chirinos was injured on Mar. 10 after taking a pitch from Pirates right-hander Blake Cinderlind off the wrist.
