Waterloo man stole catalytic converters from Phelps business

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Waterloo man after stealing a number of catalytic converters from vehicles at a Phelps business.

Robert Law Jr., 38, of Waterloo was charged with grand larceny after being found to have stolen multiple catalytic converters from a business in Phelps.

While deputies did not provide specifics – they noted that the value of the converters exceeded $1,000.

Law was taken into custody and will answer the charges at a later date.
