Felony charge for Rochester resident after Canandaigua investigation

The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of a Rochester man on felony drug charges after an investigation in the city.

Shamere Thomas, 26, of Rochester was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance following an investigation into illegal drug sales in the city.

Investigators say Thomas sold a quantity of fentanyl to another person. Thomas was arrested and transported to the Ontario County Jail.

Police say they were assisted by the Geneva Police Department and Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
