Syracuse women’s basketball game vs. Virginia postponed due to COVID-19 issues

The Syracuse University women’s basketball game against Virginia scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 7 (6 p.m., ACCNX) has been postponed. The decision was made out of an abundance of caution after the announcements of a positive test within the Syracuse program on Dec. 27 and within the Virginia program on Dec. 30. A make up date is to be determined by the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) office.

All basketball-related activities are paused and Syracuse athletics is working closely with Onondaga County Health Department, New York State Department of Public Health and the ACC Medical Advisory Group. The team is adhering to all public health guidelines.

No. 22 Syracuse’s next scheduled game is Sunday, Jan. 10 vs. Notre Dame (2 p.m., ESPNU).
