A local man became the second charged after a child consumed a controlled substance in Penn Yan.
Police arrested 28-year-old Tyler Sokolowski, of Penn Yan on multiple charges including criminal possession of a controlled substance, as well as endangering the welfare of a child, and second-degree possession of marijuana.
He was arrested following an incident on November 12th when the Penn Yan Police Department received a third-party call that a child at a residence on Liberty Street may have been in need of medical attention due to ingesting concentrated cannabis.
Police responded to the scene and verified that a child had ingested the substance after it was left on a table near the child. The child did recover, but required medical attention at F.F. Thompson Hospital.
Police added that Jessica Sokolowski had previously been arrested for her role in the incident.
