It happened in the town of Phelps around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday when James Carey, 28, of Brighton was traveling west on County Road 25 when he went off the road.
His vehicle collided with a number of trees off the road. He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
