A 30-year-old Auburn man faces felony charges after a new arrest at a gas station in Phelps.
Deputies say that on Monday around 3:41 p.m. Jeremy Olin Haig, 30, of Auburn was taken into custody following a complaint about an unresponsive male at the 7Eleven gas station on Route 14 in Phelps.
Deputies say it was determined that the Haig was impaired by a drug or drugs and was transported to the Clifton Springs Hospital where he submitted to a chemical test.
He was found to be in possession of Fentanyl. In all Haig was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and driving while ability impaired. Deputies say the charge was elevated to felony-level after it was determined Haig had a DWI conviction in the last 10 years.
Deputies say an appearance ticket was issued. Haig will appear in local court at later date.
