New York State Police Superintendent Keith Corlett is retiring.
The retirement will officially happen at the end of the month. While specifics were not released, he did cite family as the core reason for calling it quits.
He was named Acting Superintendent at the start of 2019. He became the permanent superintendent about six months after that.
It’s unclear who might step up to fill that role moving forward.
