Police say that on Tuesday around 8:40 p.m. they were dispatched to a reported armed robbery in the 400 block of North Tioga Street.
It was initially reported that two victims were walking along North Tioga when they were approached by two male suspects displaying handguns.
The two suspects, while holding the victims at gunpoint, demanded all of the victims’ property. They left the area southbound on foot after taking personal items and cash from the victims.
During the robbery one of the victims was punched in the face and required medical attention.
Both suspects were described as black males approximately 30-years-old. One was approximately 6’1″ tall, with a thin build, wearing dark clothing. Meanwhile, the other was described as approximately 5’7″ to 5’10” tall, with a heavy build, wearing dark clothing.
There’s not believed to be any relationship or connection between the victims and suspects. However, police believe they were targeted at random.
