Royal Car Wash says glitch caused some refunds to not disperse during pandemic shutdown

Recently, Royal Car Wash opened a new location in Canandaigua. That location, which is the second in Ontario County, has seen significant traffic.

However, unlike other locations, which were open during the early-days of the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown – members have questions.

The company operates a location in Victor, and a membership at any location – in the Rochester area or Ontario County – means car wash services at all locations.

News10NBC posed a simple question to President & Owner of Daniele Family Companies Danny J. Daniele: Why hasn’t the credit that Royal Car Wash users was promised came through?

He told News10NBC that it came down to a technical issue. “Unfortunately, about 2-3% of our club customers’ accounts (about 400 +/-) were unable to be refunded due to PCI compliance and technical issues stemming from any credit card accounts that had been either placed on hold, canceled, or expired which blocks our ability to issue refunds back to the account,” Daniele said.

Those who believe they are owed a refund can visit the Royal Car Wash website to follow-up directly.
