Farmington motorcyclist ejected after serious crash; both operators ticketed

On Tuesday around 9:20 p.m. deputies were called to a car-motorcycle crash in the town of Farmington.

Deputies say the motorcyclist, identified as Jordan Bauer, 23, of Farmington was headed north on Bowerman Road when he was struck by an SUV attempted to turn left from Green Road onto Bowerman Road.

That SUV was operated by Jason Miller, 42, of Farmington.

Deputies say Bauer was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered serious injuries. He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Victor-Farmington Ambulance. He’s listed in stable condition at this time.

The Farmington Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Deputies say Miller, the operator of the SUV, was cited for failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign. However, investigators determined that Bauer was intoxicated, and subsequently charged with DWI.

Both will return to Farmington Town Court at a later date to answer the charges. Bowerman Road was closed for approximately an hour while crews worked the scene.
