The Auburn City School District is dealing with a couple tough realities.
The first is that they will likely need more teachers. But the second, which makes the first difficult to achieve – is the funding reality for the district.
Superintendent Jeff Pirozzolo said during a school boarding meeting this week that he doesn’t know how the district will pay for additional staff without assistance from New York State.
The district is planning for a hybrid solution to reopening, which will incorporate in-person and online learning.
