The Philadelphia Phillies and New York Yankees have postponed their matchups for the second straight day due to the fallout for the Miami Marlins coronavirus outbreak, MLB Network’s Joel Sherman first reported.

Sherman reported that despite the postponement, the Phillies have received no positive COVID-19 cases in the early rounds of results.

Despite the promising news of test results, Tuesday’s game was still postponed out of an abundance of caution. MLB hit a major road bump on Monday after it was reported that seven players and two staff members on the Miami Marlins had tested positive for COVID-19. This came a day after the Marlins reported multiple positive tests but still played a game against the Phillies.
The Yankees and Phillies are set to play each other on Wednesday and Thursday in New York, but it is unclear at this time whether or not those games will be played.
