Deputies: Road closed for an hour after head-on crash, but no injuries reported

On Monday around 6:30 a.m. deputies responded to Brace Road in the town of East Bloomfield for a two car crash.

East Bloomfield Fire Department, East Bloomfield Ambulance and Canandaigua Ambulance all responded to the scene on Brace Road.

Deputies say Codie Bassett, 20, of Canandaigua was traveling north on Brace Road when he crossed the center line and struck a vehicle operated by Benjamin Chan, 27, of Victor who was traveling south.

Deputies say Bassett was ticketed for failure to keep right. Brace Road was closed for an hour while crews worked the scene.

Neither driver was sent to the hospital or injured after the crash.
