Super Casuals in Geneva shutting down; will remain open as online store

Super Casuals is shutting down.

The staple, which has been located on Seneca Street in the city of Geneva for years announced its closure in a statement on Monday.

While Super Casuals will stay open as an online store, the in-person, brick-and-mortar experience will come to an end.

“After much consideration and with mixed emotions, we have made the decision to close our brick and mortar retail storefront on Seneca Street in Geneva, NY. We will continue to serve the community through our online store at supercasuals.com. We remain highly committed to our local community and the loyal Super Casuals customers we love,” they said in a statement.

“When our father founded the business in 1950, he committed to serving the community with a full selection of inventory at a great value with outstanding customer service. We have stayed true to those principles over the past 70 years and will continue to do so through our online store. Over the last 20 years we have built a strong online presence serving customers across the nation, so we are prepared to offer our local customers a high-quality online shopping experience. We will still provide all the same selection, value and service you have come to expect from Super Casuals.”

Moving forward they will work to enhance their website and work on shipping and pickup options.

“Super Casuals is still dedicated to being an active part of the local community by continuing to offer employment opportunities, service local contracts, and do business with local partners,” they added. “This decision had been difficult, yet we are eager to serve you for many years to come through our online store. Our gratitude and appreciation for your ongoing support and friendship is immense. We will continue to communicate updates to keep you informed.”
