The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Williamson man following a domsetic incident at his residence.
Deputies say Michael Akers, 41, was charged with assault, aggravated family offense, menacing, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Akers is accused of intentionally striking a juvenile victim with a metal rod. The victim sustained bruising and swelling as result of the incident. It’s further alleged that Akers did so in the presence of two other juveniles.
Akers was transported to the Wayne County Jail pending arraignment.
