A Schuyler County resident was arrested in Livingston County after a stabbing at the Geneseo Walmart.
Joan Olsowsky was in the checkout line when she heard a woman screaming inside the store. She spoke with 13WHAM-TV, recounting the moments the victim was yelling “Somebody stabbed me.”
It happened just after 4 p.m. Police say the attack was random, and the 34-year-old victim, who was not identified, suffered multiple stab wounds.
She’s in stable condition, according to police.
Gregory Cunningham, 24, of Schuyler County was taken into custody without incident and has been charged with first-degree assault.
The Livingston County DA’s Office says an additional charge of second-degree attempted murder is also likely.
