Officials in Auburn say city staff are returning to work this week.
It started on Monday, with employees returning to the office after months of not working, or working from home.
City Manager Jeff Dygert tells Finger Lakes News Radio that big changes are on the way for staff.
“There’s going to be some restrictions, it’s going to feel different before it did all of this COVID stuff,” he told FLNR. He said that people coming in for services would be encouraged to make appointments when possible, and that other safeguards would be put in place to ensure safety of everyone.
Officials are also hoping that when the region enters the third phase of economic restart that city hall access can be resumed. It’s unclear if that means digital meetings will cease, or if they will continue even when the public can return.
