On Monday at approximately 4:34 p.m. first responders were called to Lynaugh Road in the town of Victor for a personal injury crash.
Nicholas Morreale, 21, of Victor was traveling south when he left the west shoulder of the road – causing the vehicle to roll multiple times and sheer a telephone pole.
Morreale was transported to F.F. Thompson Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, according to deputies.
New York State Police, Fishers Fire, Victor Fire, Victor-Farmington Ambulance, and RG&E responded to the scene.
Morreale was cited for unreasonable speed and operating in violation of a conditional license. Lynaugh Road was closed for an hour while crews worked at the scene, according to deputies.
Video shared to Facebook by first responders showcases the importance of staying safe when utility lines are involved in any kind of accident – whether it’s caused by a vehicle or storm.
The power lines could be seen arching.
