The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 46-year-old Fairport resident following a one-car crash in the town of Ontario.
Deputies say they arrested Carrie Toper, 46, for driving while intoxicated, having a BAC over 0.08, and moving from lane unsafely.
Deputies responded to a location on North Slocum Road for the report of a one car motor vehicle collision. They say they arrived and spoke to the operator of the vehicle, who stated that she pulled in to the incorrect driveway and when backing out, drove her car in to the roadside ditch.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that Toper was operating her vehicle while intoxicated.
Toper was processed and released on traffic tickets. She’s set to appear in Ontario Town Court at a later date.
