Deputies say one person is dead and another was hurt after a stabbing at the Cortland Motel in Cortlandville.
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office reports that they responded to the motel around 7:20 a.m. on Monday.
Upon arrival, they found one man with a stab wound to his chest. That individual died from their injuries at Guthrie Hospital.
The other person’s wounds were not life threatening, according to deputies.
Deputies say the two men are likely the only ones involved in the incident. Identities are being withheld at this time.
