If you’ve visited the Eastview Mall in Victor recently – you’ve probably seen the signage for a new ‘cat cafe’.
Lisa Cragle of Farmington is hoping to open Purrs and Paws Cat Cafe by mid-February. They’re working inside the store, which is located near the Von Maur store will be a space for visitors to interact with and potentially adopt cats.
Health codes don’t allow food to be served where cats are, but humans and felines will be separated. That said, humans can bring food into the cat section of the store.
Cats will roam, cage free and will be adoptable. Admission into the lounge will cost $6 per half-hour and $10 for an hour.
The cats will be living in the lounge space from the nonprofit group Keller’s Kats Rescue.
