Assemblyman Kolb appears in court, next appearance scheduled for March 5th

Former Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb appeared in court in Ontario County on Thursday.

It was his most-recent appearance in his DWI case, after a crash on New Years Eve near his home.

The court scheduled a motions hearing for March 5th. Kolb’s attorney also requested unreacted copies of paperwork released by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, according to 13WHAM-TV.

Documents show that Assemblyman Kolb admitted to having four or five drinks at a bar in Pittsford before driving back to his home in Victor.

He’s accused of having a BAC twice the legal limit.

“The events of December 31 are ones I will always deeply regret,” he said earlier this month. “On a personal level, I have begun the process of seeking professional help in order to heal, learn and fully address the challenges that I, along with my family, currently face.”
