For the next day or so, the weather is going to remain unsettled. That will likely mean some tricky travel on Friday.
Snow showers will persist through the day, with some areas getting away from the precipitation by dinner time. It won’t be heavy, accumulating snow – but will be enough to cause wet, or slightly slick roads. Temperatures will hover around 30 degrees.
There will be a quick moving area-wide snowfall, which will come during the morning and early-afternoon hours on Friday. Montreuil says that different parts of the region could see 1-3 inches of snow from this system.
The NWS is cautioning that the morning commute could be a little tricky, as result of this snowfall. That said, it will move out – and things will calm down over the weekend.
Montreuil says temperatures could even see a boost by the end of the weekend, and start of next week. However, other forecasters in the region are saying that the warmth could lead to some active, difficult weather by Tuesday-Wednesday of next work week.

Modest snowfall Friday, but poorly timed as the heart of the steadiest/heaviest snow falls during the AM drive. Clipper may even "overperform" in a few spots north of the Thruway. A local 5" tally plausible. Allow extra time for that commute! #ROC pic.twitter.com/Sngsd6n0qW
