Police in Canandaigua say they arrested a 28-year-old city resident after an officer was hurt responding to a medical emergency call.
Juan Montes-Soto, 28, was charged with second-degree assault after an incident on November 17th.
Officers responded to an address in the city for a medical emergency; and they say that while on-scene – Montes-Soto became aggressive toward them.

He subsequently bit an officer on the arm, according to police.
Montes-Soto was taken into custody and was later transported to the Ontario County Jail for pre-arraignment detention.
The officer that was bitten received medical attention at Thompson Hospital for an injury to his forearm and was released.
