Deputies: Canandaigua duo took vehicle that didn’t belong to them from local motel

On Saturday at approximately 12:20 p.m. deputies arrested a 34- and 31-year-old duo from Canandaigua following an incident earlier in the week.

Deputies say that Houston Fountaine, 34, and Erik Olsen, 31, both of Canandaigua were charged with petit larceny and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

On Wednesday the two were observed on security footage at the Woodridge Motel – unlawfully entering a vehicle that did not belong to them – and leaving.

They were also observed taking several items from the vehicle, too, which did not belong to them.

Deputies say the two did not have consent of the owner to use the vehicle. Both were issued appearance tickets for the offense and will be returned to Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
