Sheriff Barry Virts reports the arrest of a Newark man following an investigation into a domestic incident in the Town of Marion.
Jacob Follett, 32, of Newark was charged with felony aggravated family offense, endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of criminal mischief, criminal trespass, obstruction of breathing, and harassment.
Sheriff Virts reports that Follett allegedly entered the residence of a female victim without permission, before she came home. When she arrived, with her children already being inside the residence with the suspect – an argument ensued.
He says that the argument turned physical and the female victim was being assaulted by Follett. That assault included being punched in the face.
Property belonging to the victim was damaged, and at least one child witnessed the altercation.
Follett was arrested on those charges and will appear at a later date in Marion Town Court.
