Marion senior Chloe DeLyser came into a road game Tuesday needing 3 goals to achieve U.S. career scoring record for girls soccer.
She had a pair of goals already by the 4th minute; her record-breaking score came around in the 12th minute on a feed from her middle school sibling Abigail. She added a couple more goals later on for an impressive night of 5 goals in a 7-0 win.
The record previously belonged to Esmeralda Gonzales from Texas. Chloe had already achieved career scoring records for SEC5 and NYS. DeLyser is heading to play soccer in college as an OSU Buckeye.
