Three people in Onondaga County have lost their rights to own a gun in the two months since the Red Flag Law took effect in New York State.
The law allows police officers, the district attorney’s office, school administrators and family members of people making threats to petition the court to consider restricting gun rights.
The Onondaga County District Attorney tells NewsChannel 9 of seven cases filed, four are still pending and three have resulted in the restriction of gun rights.
The petitioning agencies of the three cases are Liverpool Police, Syracuse Police and New York State Police.
