Lyons man charged after trailer comes unhooked from truck in Wayne County causing crash

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Lyons man following an investigation into a two-car property damage accident in the Town of Lyons.

Paul E. Kelley, 45, of Lyons was traveling west on Montezuma Road in the Town of Lyons when his utility trailer came unhooked.

The trailer then struck a vehicle that was traveling east.

Investigators determined that Kelley’s trailer did not meet specifications. They further allege that Kelley knew his trailer did not meet legal specifications.

HE was released on a variety of traffic violations; and charged with reckless endangerment.
