Concerns vocalized in Geneva over city budget process

Concerns in Geneva have been vocalized about the process by which City Council will develop their new budget. After city officials noted that the process would have to change to some degree between 2018- and 2019 – some say the change has been incomplete.

Now, The Geneva Believer reports that the process has become less transparent in an article published on September 24th.

At the center of the issue is a three week window where residents and taxpayers will have the opportunity to review the proposed budget. Last year, the public was given six weeks to review.
