Survivors of clergy abuse in the Catholic Diocese of Rochester are among nine people chosen to oversee its bankruptcy.
They will serve on the committee of unsecured creditors.
Their role is to speak on behalf of all the survivors during its bankruptcy and determine the diocese’s assets in order to compensate victims.
Bankruptcy attorney James Stang was also hired to advise the committee.
