Cool, damp day in the Finger Lakes on Labor Day

Widespread, steady rain will transition to scattered showers and a few thunderstorms today. There will eventually be a bit of dry weather and even some partial sunshine in the mix toward sunset, so the entire day will not be a complete washout. Temperatures will remain unseasonably cool.

Clouds will vary tonight as lingering showers come to an end. It will be a comfortable night for sleeping temperature-wise.

Drier weather returns to the forecast on Tuesday. Expect a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the 70s.

More showers and storms return Wednesday courtesy of a cold front. Temperatures will rise into the mid-70s.

In the wake of the cold front, expect much cooler weather on Thursday. Highs may struggle to break out of the 60s. We can, however, expect lots of sun.

Expect another dry day on Friday before a couple more showers make a return on Saturday. Highs both days will be around 70.

Another dip into the 60s is likely as extra cloud cover arrives on Sunday.
