Karl Karlsen’s murder trial in California has been delayed.
Again.
The Union Democrat in Sonora, California, reports the delay stems from Karlsen’s lawyer claiming the former Seneca County man’s previous defense attorney had refused to hand over his investigatory materials. Karlsen is accused of murdering his wife, Christina, by starting a fire at their home in 1991 to collect a life insurance policy in her name.
A new trial date of January 8th has been set, according to that report.
In Seneca County, Karlsen had been sentenced to 28 years to life after pleading guilty to the murder of his son, Levi.
