Police: Seneca Falls man arrested on felony charges after credit card theft

On Friday at 12:46 p.m. the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Michael G. Ellersick, 34, of Seneca Falls following a theft complaint.

The arrest stems from a theft complaint received reporting unauthorized transactions on two separate credit and debit cards. The total amount of all transactions exceeded $500.00.

Police say Ellersick had stolen two credit cards from a family member and used them at several locations to withdrawal money or purchase products. He was charged with two counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony; and one count of identity theft in the second degree, also a felony.

Ellersick was processed and released. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on August 5, 2019, at 5:30 pm to answer the charges.
