A former Geneva man has died following a 60-foot fall while hiking in the North Country, according to reporting from WPTZ-TV.
Gasevan Bekauri, 23, fell off a cliff at Cascade Falls in Keene, which is located near Lake Placid.
His body was found by a passing hiker. An autopsy is being completed, but police do not believe the death was suspicious.
At this point, authorities believe a head injury caused his death.
Bekauri graduated from Geneva High School in 2014.
