Auburn making progress on N. Division St. bridge, city spending plan

Rain hasn’t bothered the City of Auburn as they move forward with a project to replace the North Division Street Bridge.

“Anybody that’s been driving by that bridge will know that it’s starting to look more like a bridge,” City Manager Jeff Dygert told Finger Lakes Morning News on Monday. “We’re hoping that this week they pour the concrete.”

The bridge is expected to be completed and opened this summer.

Dygert talked about the city budget, and prospective funding, which would be coming from the state to repair local roads.

A public hearing is scheduled for May 23rd’s City Council meeting. The spending plan will be voted on during its June 6th meeting.
